VivaVets was founded by local animal lovers who dreamed of a different kind of veterinary practice — one where every pet and person feels at home the moment they walk in. We built VivaVets in Takapuna to blend world-class medical expertise with genuine warmth, time-rich appointments, and a deeply holistic approach. The Spark Behind Integrative Care
Throughout my career, one question kept surfacing after every difficult case, every loss: surely there's more we can do? That simple ache drove me to expand my toolkit far beyond what I learned in vet school.
I began adding probiotics alongside antibiotics for gut health. Milk thistle when medications taxed the liver. Liquorice root to support animals on steroids. Acupuncture for chronic pain. Herbal formulas for stubborn skin conditions. Each addition was gentle, thoughtful, evidence-informed — and it worked.
Then came the regenerative therapies: stem cells for arthritis, peptides for healing, exosomes for inflammation, light therapy for pain. Not replacements for good medicine — enhancements. Ways to support the body's own remarkable ability to heal.
